PM check up

Hi, I haven't posted in a while. I had my 9 month checkup last week.I have never seen my PM Doc. only my Cardiologist who is in the same office as the PM Dr. I have had no episodes in 3 mths. He said doing great and I'm thinking maybe I didn't need PM after all. What does no episodes mean? I was pacing at 60% but haven't gotten results yet on this appt.I still don't understand all the lingo yet. All that matter is I'm feeling Great and back to work. Enjoying life and the Grandkids. God is Good. Hope that everyone else feels the same. DollyA

Still need pacer

You pacer is still likely providing some kind of support, but isn't encountering any episodes to be concerned about.

As an example with my AV block my pacer is operating 100%, but only logs some PVC's as episodes. If it was removed I would be in serious trouble.

So it doesn't mean you didn't need a pacer.

No Episodes

Hi Dolly,

When the Dr tells me that it means my pacemaker has not recorded any episodes of A-fib, V-Fib or some other irregular heart beats. Another goodie is it means he is not having to decide what new medicine I should try.
