swelling in left arm

Hi everyone, I have been doing fine since I got my pm 8-26-10, but the last few days I have notice that my left arm is swelling some. I did go back and read that some of you have had this happen. I am concerned, and I am going to call my doctor tomorrow. Let me know if anyone know about this.

If you were going to have a problem it probably would have happened before this but it can't hurt to get it checked out on the off chance it's a clot.

I did call my doctor, he said, come on in and see whats going on. I have an appointment 11/2. I hope it not nothing bad. You guys say a prayer for me.

I have suffered from a swollen arm and believe me it was not an easy fix. I would keep an eye on it and if it gets larger or you have trouble with your fingers swelling, please get it checked no matter what.
My dr. wasn't concerned either, however he was very, very wrong. I'm just saying.... I am not trying to alarm you, but if you think there is a reason, get it checked sooner. I did and I have never regretted being so persistent!

could be lymphedema

I have lymphedema, in my left arm due to a mess up dring my 3rd mitral valve replacement. there is treatment but it is ongoing not a cure just something to make the appeaeence better lymphedema cam get huge so keep track of it. Mine has gooten alot worse with the recent trouble with my pacemaker placement. I will be asking my doctor about lymphatic drainage massage. i know it works. I just don't know of anyone in my area who know who does it. Keep track of it, it kind of creeps up on you.
