10 day checkup

Wow! I am sooo excited! I had my checkup today and my dressing removed and all is great. Healing very well excpet for one stitch left in and was told they would take that out at my next appointment if it is still there. My settings are perfect with no adjustments needed. My PM has kicked in 60% of the time on the top lead, but very little on the bottom lead which I thought was a lot but just tells me that "yes I really need this thing". I feel wonderful, without any of the early symptoms. They want me to exercise the arm as not to get shoulder freeze. I just have to remember that I am still recouperating!

I thank everyone on this site that gave me strength. When I first learned that I needed a PM I was terrified! You helped me throught it and because of that I am eternally grateful!

Good luck to all that are still waiting.

Sally

Delighted to hear all's gone well at your checkup today, Sally, and even better news to hear you're feeling so much better. Just give yourself plenty of time to heal at your own pace and don't try to do too much too soon. Be safe and well. Best love, Sheila

I had a pacemaker when I was 11. I never once thought I wasn't a 'normal kid' nor was I ever treated differently because of it. I could do everything all my friends were doing; I just happened to have a battery attached to my heart to help it work.
