Hang in There

Just wanted to thank those of you that responded to me and hope everyone is still alive (lol). Trust me Zanax works for those that are having a difficult time. Don’t get hooked on it, but I take one mg a day and sometimes break it in half, one during the day and one before I go to sleep. It helps sleeping also. Hang in there guys. It could be worse. I have a 19 year old nephew that is in his third bout with a rare childhood cancer and it doesn’t look good. I think of him constantly. At least most of us had some kind of a life. I have another nephew in his 40’s that was just diagnosed with A Fib and had a serious time. Trying to calm him down too. We are only dust in the wind when you think of how long this world has been around. Make the best of every day and don’t take it for granted. Love you all, we’ll all eventually meet.

I must comment on your attitude - I LOVE it!!!!

You are SO right - we are only dust in the wind, so we do have to make the best of each day that we have. Sometimes we just take life and our health for granted until something happens, then everything has a whole new meaning. I know having my pacemaker (and the tragedy that followed - that's an Oprah show for some other time) put me into a deep depression and I too was on Ativan (it's called Xanax in the States) but you have to be careful taking that particular med, as it can become addictive. You are on a very low dose, but as long as it's helping you get over "the" hump, then I'm sure you will do fine.

We sure all do have our problems, life is a struggle sometimes, but I've learned during the last 6 yrs to try and focus on other things and I try my hardest to help others as I feel I'm helping in some small way (I hope). I can't work any more, so it feels great when I can support or help another member, after all, we are now one big family:)

Stay strong,
Pookie

me too
