Hello.....

Hello again. I'm really glad I found this online group but it seems that no one is on that much. I know some people are busy and people have lives outside of the forum but its seems kinda of.....inactive a lot of the day. It just seems hard to find people to talk to and keep in touch with them. Especially finding the younger crowd. I don't know about other people on here but it's tough being in the younger age bracket especially when you don't really know anyone else in it.
Also, has anyone else been shocked by a defib? If so, would really like to talk about it, kinda been affected by it pretty badly. I hope everyone is happy and has a great day.
Alex

I don't know much about Defribs but I'm on quite a lot - just keep an eye out for me ;)

Alex, bear with this site. Sometime there seems to be many of your PM Club friends on ('Members online') and other times there may only be one or two according to "Who's Online?'

There appears to be hundreds of 'visitors' every day, but they are not necessarily members since they are not required to sign in. I know I quickly scan new 'posts' to see if there are any of real interest to me or something I can help with. Sometime I never sign in ~ but I have checked at least once/week anyway. I have a PM since 10/09 ~ so far, no complications that I know of.

There are ages from just a few months, with their parents 'posting' for them up thru at least 80+ on this PM Club website. Just 'post' & ask for anyone your age, interests, etc. Someone will 'comment' sooner or later.

Since the PM/ICD Club is a World wide club of over 11,000 members, and we all are in different time zones ~ some of us are asleep while some are awake & at jobs/work. There is someone awake at all times ~ just 'post'.

Glad You Are a Member,
Carolyn G. in TEXAS ~ Have a Great Day ~

Hello To You Too

Hello Alex - so sorry to hear you've no one to talk to in your own age group. I know there's one or two young people who're members but I know of only one who's in England and the other seem to be in America. I think perhaps the time difference affects the numbers logged into the Club. If you need someone to talk to I'm here. I'm not young - not by a long-chalk (but you'd never guess it!)

I see your on-line now and I'll go into the chatroom and see if you're there. Love, Sheila

Part of the problem is that you folks in the younger group are used to communication differently. I finally learned to exchange in rapid fire abbreviated words with my grand daughter.

So this site used more of the type of interchanges us old codgers are use to.

keep it up,

frank

Hi Alex,
I am sorry you haven't found any younger people to talk to. I am 24 and have had a pm for almost 4 years. I have gone through a lot with having my pm and do understand at points it is hard.
I don't have a ICD and don't know how it feels to be shocked. Though I do know how it feels to have your pm not firing correctly b/c of a dropped lead.
I hope that this group will help you more than you ever expected. Take advantage of the private message part and the board. I communicate more with the board and the people that I have gotten closer to I do e-mail more often as it's harder for me to get on here lately as often.
If you would ever like to talk more send me a private message and I will give you my info.
Take care of yourself!

Tammy
