I don't know what to think

Today while I was driving at 11 pm back to my house I all the sudden started hyper ventilating and my legs, arms, fingers, and head all started tingling and i had started to get blurred vision. Odd thing was during the entire time my hear felt slow not normal but slow slow ( or at least that's how i perceived it). I have no allergies and wasn't doing anything before hand that would trigger an event like that. Has anyone experienced this?

You need to be seen! If you haven't already, please be seen asap, and do not drive yourself. It could be nothing, it could be a precursor to something serious like a stroke. Better safe than sorry.

Sounds like...

Sounds like you may have had a panic attack. Only your heart would have been racing at the end of it. Certainly see your doctor to rule everything else out.

Good luck

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The EXACT same thing happened to me on January 11 of 2005 while driving to work. I will NEVER forget it.

It came right out of the blue!!!!! I pulled to the side of the road as best as I could as my vision was completely blurred - I still don't know how I accomplished that to this very day. I just sat there for what seemed like forever then called my husband at work and told him what happened, I was still scared, but I was going to try to get back on the road and make it to work!!!!!! What the heck was I thinking????? But dummy me - I did just that. Can everyone say "stupid stupid stupid Pookie!!!" I could have got killed or even worse - killed someone else.

Not one minute later, while back on the highway, it happened again, but this time it was much much worse and I could feel myself starting to faint! Again, I made it to the side of the road and passed out in the car. Now this was friggen rush hour traffic and NO ONE stopped to help me. NO ONE. The car was at an angle with the front of the car almost in the ditch!!!!!!!! The rear of the car was sticking out on the pavement. My car was bright red...how could no one see me???? Hello? Anybody????

When I came to, I called Lloyd again and he happened to be with his supervisor so they jumped in the truck and put the flashing lights on the roof, etc and sped to come get me, which seemed like forever, but Lloyd kept talking to me on my cell. I kept feeling like I was going to pass out again.

When Lloyd finally got to me apparently I was as white as a ghost and not breathing properly. I, like you, was hyperventilating and my entire body was tingling. He held my hands, made me look him directly in the eyes, and we slowly breathed together. Did I ever tell everyone Lloyd is a saint??? We checked my pulse, it was fine.

I still felt absolutely horrible, but my breathing was a bit better and my vision was back to normal. So Lloyd decided to drive me to the ER, but again, as soon as we got back on the highway, I started to "go" again, so he saw a fire station and pulled in there. The firemen came running out and gave me oxygen and dialed 9-1-1.

I was transported to the ER via ambulance and the ONLY thing they found was my blood pressure was extremely low. However they did do the typical blood test and had me hooked up to the cardiac monitor, but everything was fine. BUT HOW COULD I BE FINE???

I followed up with my cardiologist and he could find nothing, I followed up with the PM techs, they could find nothing.

In the end all the "medical professionals" told me I had had a panic attack. And to this day - I don't believe them.

I had just had my pacer since Nov 2 of 2004 and this happened on January 11 of 2005.

I hope they find out what happened to you. I truly do.

I am not planning on letting any of this shorten my life. I am planning on living a long happy battery operated life. You never know maybe it will keep me alive longer. I sure know one thing I would have been dead before starting school without it.
