arm movement after surgery

my surgery was 57 hours ago. I stretched my left arm (side of implant) straight down because of a cramp in my arm pit. I got a sudden tingling in all 5 fingers. Anyone think I damaged anything?

Welcome to the site.

Just 57 hours ago and you're able to sit at a computer and type...that's wonderful.

Is the tingling in your fingers gone?

The best thing you can do (and for peace of mind) is to call your nurse or cardiologist as soon as you can and tell them what happened...they will then tell you if you should be alright or if you need to come in to be seen.

You didn't say why you had your pacemaker, but if you think you might have damaged a lead....just take your pulse. As long as it's not lower than your lowest setting (which I am guessing would be around 60) you should be okay until you contact your doctor.

If you feel really awful or have dizziness and/or shortness of breath, just go into your Emergency Department. They can take an Xray to see if your leads have been dislodged.

But call your doctor like I said just to be on the safe side:)

Take care,
