Thanks for the postings on my stress test

Just wanted to thank you all the postings were good. I will not just go along with them any more when it comes to my health. I will be more assertive. I thought they knew best. But we know our own bodies best. Frank your right there is a tendency in the practice of medicine for them to practice and we are the experiment. We are all it seems to me to be put in the same box not treated as individuals. It was told to me we have never seen your reaction to the chemical dilator medicine in 20 years of experience. Well now they have and it will be forgotten by next week because it usually does not happen.
To those of you who have asked yes I am fine now, in fact each time I have a near death experience I seem to feel even more alive. But I don't recommend this as a solution to a better life. Bowlrbob

Same condition

by busby - 2010-04-17 11:04:01

Hi Bob,
I have always considered that you and I have the same condition along with a few others on this site. Started of suddenly with a day of 5-6 heart pauses of >30 secs and, then, no other known attack for years. It was your story that made me keep asking about rate drop until I finally got it set up a few years ago. So I will never allow them to make me go through that type of stress test.
I had my first time in emergency a few weeks ago after 7 years with a PM. Instead of having a few episodes in one day, I had one long episode of 2 hrs feeling sick, dizzy and turning pale and then when it went away I was perfectly healthy. I even went to the gym the next day, They wanted to keep me in ED for 24 hrs. It also started off a round of tests to find out what caused it, including a 24hr urine test. I was wandering if you have ever had a tilt test as I am considering asking for it. I just want to know, for sure, that it is NCS.
Glad to hear that all is well now.

Near death experiences

There is nothing more scary than a Near Life Experience". I've had several of them and actually Crooked Lined" for several minutes. I've never been the same since.

In the 60's we called an Acid Trip.

LOL,

Not had the tilt test.

No, I have never had the tilt test. I had my pass/black outs for about five years before the big one. I always went to the Dr. and they could not find anything wrong. When my day came it was one rate drop after another but even then the EP had no real answers. They gave me the pm and it wasn't till 6 months after that that i had another black out even with the pm. I went back to my EP and told him my symptoms and he knew right away what was wrong. I asked him and he said it is VVS or some call it NCS. He set the rate drop on my PM and I have not been dizzy or passed out since. It has been a Godsend to me. I know I have been very lucky and I believe what I am going through right now is not heart related. I really think it is Gall Bladder or something to do with my hiatal hernia. We will get to the bottom of it and get it fixed. I hope you get your problems fixed too. Bowlrbob
