Do you get shocked during sex

This is my first day in this club and wanted to konw. If anyone else gets shocked during sex or right after having it. I have been many times and my ICD is set for a pulse of 190 bpm.

ICD Shock

The ICD doesn't know whether you are having sex, running up stairs, or having a close call in traffic. It just monitors your heart beat and decides when to deliver a shock. So as an example the ICD will measure how long it is between heart beats and fire after the amount of time has expired. There is some leeway in the settings and a longer time might lessen the shocks. On the other hand if the time is set too long then instead of being shocked you would pass out instead.
Cabg Patch is right..this is one to talk over with the cardiologist. Just be ready to ask serious questions rather just accept his/her saying you shouldn't have sex.
Just have to say it..when asked how I would like to die, my response is "be shot by a jealous husband while having sex with his wife". BAD BAD LOL

Are you bragging or complaining? Now don't get mad, I just couldn't pass up that opportunity. I don't have a defibrillator so I never have that problem. But if you are stetting yours off I think you need to talk to your doctor. It could be that the 190 rate is not good for your heart and there are medicines that can slow it down some.
I'm sure you know that when a defibrillator fires it does it to stop the ventricle from contracting altogether so it can restart itself with a normal beat. I just can't see how having yours get zapped and stopped very often like that is good for your heart, but then I'm not a doctor. But I do think you need to talk to your doctor.
