petit mal seizures

I got my second defib implanted in sept of 09. Since then i've been having staring spells several times a day and bouts where i am disoriented several times a day. My neurologists told me these are petit mal seizures. She said she has three other patients with defibs that have these spells. These moments of disorientation are more like i will be in a completely familiar environment...such as my home...and i will have a few seconds of everything around me being unfamiliar. I wanted to know if this could be something to do with this second defib of mine. Have any of you had such complications?
