New Pacemaker

With a pacemaker you should never feel it working anymore than you do your heart It will simply replace those electrical impulses that your heart's natural pacemaker fails to deliver on time or is not delivering them fast enough to make your heart beat as it should. Pacemakers are something mysterious. They are simply a manmade device that will help your heart when needed.

This is to replace my comment above. That one has a missing word or two that I think are important.

Shock

I agree with JB and will just add one thing that might help. You have probably seen folks here talking about being shocked. They likely have an ICD which is a form of pacemaker that has a built in defibrillator. This type is designed to shock a heart back into normal rhythm. You would have been told if you received this type.

So, relax and enjoy you new friend.
