Bravo and pacemakers

The Bravo is a Medtronics product so they are experts in the pacemaker field. I'm sure they would have conducted tests to determine and interactions.

The bad news is that they have a definite restriction about using the Bravo in patients with a pacemaker. The only other possibility is that the FDA has required the restriction until Medtronics has gone through more extensive testing. In that case it could be the doctors call as to its use.

My suggestion is to call the Medtronics support line and ask. Tell them you have a pacer and the Bravo has been installed, and ask what action you should take to protect yourself. My experience is that they are friendly and helpful.

Bravo test

Hi

I had this test 2 years ago, following an Esophageal tear and stomach valve replacement problem. - prior to my heart throwing a wobbly last year. It does feel as if there is something there for a few days afterwards but the feeling eases and disappears within a week.

The test is really worthwhile, it gives the information tto make decisions in the same way that the 48hr heart monitor does.

good luck with the Bravo, Pacer and subsequent treatment.

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
