Hi,
I am hoping to climb Mount Snowdon in 2011, will having a pacemaker pose a problem?

As long as the pacer works well during heavy exercise at lower elevations your body will respond the same as always to high altitude. I notice from Wiki that the altitude of the mountain is around 3500'. For me that is still flat land. I camp regularly 8500' and two years ago spent time at 13,000' in Colorado. I'm 80 yrs, have a pacer and that is no problem.

but ask your cardio doc or family doctor. Always be safe than sorry. Depends on your condition IMHO....
