Has anyone had an issue with the bottom number of you PB dropping down in the 40 after a pacemaker has been inserted?

Thanks for any info.

BP dropping

Just out of curiousity....where did you get your blood pressure taken?

If it was not taken by a medical professional, then I'd be apt to make an appointment with my family doctor as soon as possible.

Do you feel weak, tired, lightheaded, or dizzy?

Take care,

If it was taken by a professional I would pick up a unit at the drug store. Professionals are the worst at taking BP.

I noticed my BP was on the low side after getting the pacer. I've seen mine in the high 40's-low 50's at times. A glass of wine in the hot tub and then stretching out in my recliner will do it.

I agree with Pookie about feeling light headed especially when you get up quickly. That could indicate it is low for your body.

Blood Pressure Update

They pulled me off the BP meds. My BP is running 120's over 70's for now. It took me 4 days to get back on track. My Dr. is just going to monitor me for a while before making any further decisions.

Scared me, I thought there was something else wrong with my heart. I'm walking 1.5 a day and feeling pretty good since they dropped the meds. My check up on Tues was a good one. Dr. said my PM was doing what it was supposed to since they reset the leads. Have another check up in 4 weeks to check everything again.

Thanks for all the help!
