Heart Beat.

Hey guys, I have an implanted pacemaker, it's been a little over two years. Lately I've been having this problem where I'm just sitting and my heat feels like its pounding so hard. I was just wondering if this happens to anyone else?

I mean I work out once in a while, but it's just random, like when I'm just laying in bed. So I don't know if it's that serious.

Have you done any physical activity?

I have had episodes when it feels like my heart is trying to catch up with the rest of me. Usually, the pattern is as follows: I do a tough morning swim (+/- 3 km @ high intensity), followed by Miller time: 10 minutes in the sauna, relaxing shower, take my time to change, etc. Then, as I'm walking towards my well-earned coffee, I'll feel as if my heart is working overtime. You'd think that just walking, after 90 minutes of tough swimming would be a breeze, but there you have it! Things settle down within a minute or two.
I'm not really worried about it. I'll discuss it with my doctor at my next appointment, but I think that my ticker is just trying to tell me to make up my mind: work out, or relax for real.
So my question is: does your heart do this suddenly or is it reacting to changes in your activity level?
In any event, it's always prudent to bring any change to the attention of your physician.
