how long ago was the implant? is the area tender and can you freely move your neck?/ When I had my BIV placed I ended up with swelling, was told that it was because of difficulty placing leads in the "tiny" veins. Not to worry you but I ended up with a Thrombosis in the jugular vein. I would have someone take a look at it

I have swelling now... but mine is lower and my docs still can't figure it out. Even though they don't know what my swelling is, I did get it checked.

I would seriously suggest you get it checked out. At least then you would know if you have a problem or not. Worrying about these kind of things is not good for you either.

Hi jross:)

Hope it isn't anything serious. I am glad to hear that you are having it checked because so many people tend to "wait things out" to see if the problem will resolve with time...which, in my opinion, can be dangerous, you're taking a gamble. My motto has always been: when in doubt - get checked out:)

I'd rather it be nothing and have peace of mind versus hoping "it" will just go away with time then end up with something that could have been tended to earlier. Guess I'm pro-active versus reactive.

Keep us posted?
