I have the same problems and I am short of breath all the time. My Dr. said it is because of the leaky valves. They are not bad enough to replace, Aortic and Mitral valves. But I have probems with blood clots and they always head for that Mitral valve to see if there are any blood clots on or around it. The Dr. said its not bad enough to replace but I say if they think it is causing blood clots then replace it. Bruce53
