Follow up to Blood loss

Hello

thankyou all for your coments, here is a follow up i went to see the surgeon today and i am haling well, but now i am consider anemic and taking iron and i also have some major swelling my feet, ankles, legs, hands and face are swollen ,the dr says you might be in congested heart failure due to blood loss and he is also concerned about blood clots so i am having a dopler study tomorrow to check for blood clots,i talked to my reg primary dr and they said i should go to er to be evaluated for CHF but i made a appt with dr tomorrow and one with my cardiologist next monday they did not feel comfortable having me take lasix without being seen,It seem that alot of problems come along with almost bleeding to death and the dr said i almost died ,which is bad enough but now i have to deal with all this other stuff as well and they also said i could be in kidney failure as well, The Dr told me to retstart my coumadin today and let me tell that scares me alot i never though i would see what coumadin can do as far as bleeding goes now i know and i am afraid to take it again but i need it cause of a-fib ,But i am glad to be alive i think my pacemaker may have helped keep my heart beating when i had no blood to speak of so i for one am very thankful for my little friend

Thanks Valerie

or doesn't go. I agree with Cabdg Patch. Get the CHF evaluated in ER if that's what your doc recommended. I was in CHF with Pulmonary Edema after 3 days of SOB when I 1st went into contsnt Afib. I used a lot of denial & was hoping it was pneumonia. Hauled my butt to ER & started on Lasix to get the fluid out of my lungs, etc. I am on Coumadin as I mentioned in my 1st post to you & I go in religously to get the INR checked. I wondered if you had a handle on what your INR was before the surgery was done. I personally would rather not take any meds but when I was told as a women with Afib (& PM) I have a 80% chance of having a stroke, well I stay on it. Just thought I would tell you my take on Coumadin.

Good luck, Janet

It may be the first time we've felt a normal heart rhythm in a long time, so of course it seems too fast and too strong.
