pacemaker

Has anyone ever had what I think is some kind of skipping or arrythmias while sending your information over the phone?  It’s happened every time I put that magnet over my chest, by the time that third light blinks on I feel slighty dizzy and some kind of arrthymia.

How many times...

...have you transmitted data? I see you had your PM implanted just this year so this would be a new experience for you.

The magnet drops your PM into its test mode - meaning it disables the device for a short while. It's normal to feel funny while this goes on.

The first time I felt it, my "blood ran cold." Really felt weird. Now that I've been going through it every few months for 8 yrs (Slow learner), I hardly notice it. I don't know what your problems are, but I would guess that while the PM is in the test mode your heart reverts to whatever mischief it conducted before being paced.

Wouldn't hurt to ask your Dr. about it, just to allay your fears/misgivings.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
