Shoulder Blade pain

I've had this particular pacemaker for about three years now, and about year ago I started noticing that I get a pain in my left shoulder blade ( the side my pacer is on), it feels like it needs to pop, and if I shift my back it will pop, but the pain doesn't go away. I was wondering if anyone else has hid this kind of pain.

I had some surgery on my shoulder and the healing process took a long time. Then when I could I had to begin exercising my shoulder. It hurt... a lot. But eventually the movement did return and the pain went away. Now, a muscle spasm can cause some problems like you mention as well.

Before I would advise you to "work it out" I would have it checked by a dr. for sure.

I hope you feel better soon... take care,

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I'm gonna try to start swimming in the spring in the hopes of reconditioning that arm. Hopefully then the pain will subside as well

Just be careful....

Please be gentle with your arm. If you over do it right off at first it will take longer to regain your strength.

Even swimming with a weakened muscle or an issue with any sort of scar tissue in your arm... just take it easy. Slow at first, then maybe a little more effort to regain the use of your arm.

I'm hoping the pain goes away for you sooner than later.

At age 20, I will be getting a pacemaker in few weeks along with an SA node ablation. This opportunity may change a five year prognosis into a normal life span! I look forward to being a little old lady with a wicked cane!
