cardioinhibitory

Hi
i have a pacemaker for cardioinhibitory vasovagal i had it fitted 4 years ago and haven't completely passed out during this time. Before it was fitted i passed out regularly since i was 4years old lots of doctors had lots of opinions including i was doing it for attention until my GP found a heart murmur ( not related to the passing out ) it was than discovered that my heart beat was irregular i had a tilt table test ( horrid experience) and my heart paused for 25 seconds the only option i was told was the pace maker. It does stop me passing out once the right pacing was found however i do feel depressed about it at times because it is quite prominent and can become painful ( i experience a stinging sensensation around the area ). but my other option is to go back to avoiding standing up for periods of time and hurting myself when i do pass out. So i would recommend the proceedure if you have severe episodes. good luck xx
