Can you be more specific, as to what kind of pain and where its located. Also, how long has it been since implant?

Nerve Pain

Nerve Pain is common for a few months after pm implant. Patients often tell me that they fell a stinging pain, like needle pricks. Tenderness 1 week out it definitley normal. If you have any drainage, swelling, fever or redness call ASAP. You do not want to get an infection, you could lose the whole device. Im sure its nothing, hope you can see your doctor soon.

Hi Mariposa,

Any pain is the only way your body can tell you that something is not right.

If you are still experiencing sharp pain around your pacer it could be anything (anything from heartburn to percarditis to a broken lead or a pulled muscle, etc) but the best solution is to go see your doctor or go to your nearest emergency room right away, always err on the side of caution........especially when it comes to your heart:)

Just curious, but what does your last sentence mean? "when my auth gets approved"

Take care,
Pookie

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
