palpatations

Hi, I'm almost 2 weeks into an ICD implant. I've experienced an increase in palpatations from about 1 short one a day b4 the implant to at least 10x that per day . Has anyone else experienced this? Is this something I should be worried about? Thanks bill

Not sure what you mean by that? I still get the PVC's. The pacemaker takes care of the heart rate from dropping too low, but the PVC's (or palpitations) can still be there. I take medicine for mine, but still have them.

When your getting the palpitations what r u standing by, it could be interfernce. Does it always hit you when your in a certain area. Pay attention to your suroundings and when you feel the palps start, move away from the area and see if it stops. Im not sure but just a thought, when all else fails call the doc, they should be able to give an explaination.

You know you're wired when...

I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for pacemakers. I've had mine for 35+ years. I was fainting all of the time and had flat-lined also. I feel very blessed to live in this time of technology.
