Golf discomfort

I am 59, and just received the green light for golf, etc. What I have noticed so far is some discomfort on a full backswing, since the pm gets jammed against the part of the chest muscle near the armpit. It has even produced some bruising there. This discomfort is not a deal-breaker for golf by any means, but I was wondering if anyone is experiencing it.

Can't help you on the back swing other than suggest that you ask the doctor about the problem.

But thought you might appreciate the advice the golfer in the little story below got to help his putting.

An Old Irsh Golfer has been burning the edge of the cup on every green all day. He asks his Irish caddy if he has noticed any obvious reasons for his poor putting, to which the caddy replies:

"Aye, there's a piece of shyt on the end of your Putter."
The Golfer picks up his Putter and cleans off the face, at which point the caddy says:

"No, the other end."

Ill have to tell my soninlaw that one. jwt id let the doc know about the bruising, no expert but dont think the backswing should be bruising the area. Mine hurt alittle when i first went back on the course but is fine after time, and Im in no way a gold expert in mind or body. lol
Thats why when im on the course the words FFFOOUURR are yelled alot after my shots.
