Tanning beds
I just got off the phone with St Jude and they said "no problem" for me to use a tanning bed. It will not interfer with the device.

Why dont you just fake tan instead, so much safer and you will stay looking younger for longer. I've been in a light box and seen the damage I've done to my skin, I would never ever use a sun bed again!

Hey Frank, I got mine in July of 2010. Ended up with an AV node ablation so I don't go in AFib anymore. I'm going today for the tan.....I'll let you know on that "pacerburn"!!

In the uk most beauty salons do fake tans, they cost around £25 and last about a week or so. I tend to use the creams that build up a tan gradually now, like the johnsons summer sun one. I use the one for pale skin and put it on a couple of times a week all summer, people always compliment me on my tan.

I'm only doing this for a special vacation I'm going on. I'm not going to keep going to the tanning booth. By the way, HH, where would I go for a "fake" tan & what's the cost?

Hi Susi ! I just got a new pacemaker on 4/29/11, so I have a new booklet from my manufacturer Boston Scientific. Tanning beds are safe. They have a listing of all of the items that are safe.
