Christmas day

Hi all,
I don't post much. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Was just wondering how you all spent your day. I spent my Christmas at Byron Bay in Australia overlooking the beautiful ocean. It is very hot and humid here (mid 30 C- close to 100 F). I have never been close to having a white Chrismas.
have a happy New Year.

How I Spent My Day

by Pookie - 2009-12-26 03:12:48

Well, I spent my day in my pajamas just because I wanted to. Lloyd (my husband) and I had my parents down for Xmas supper. Then we all played with our new puppy, Maxx. Guess he's not so new now...he is 7 months now.

Our weather was gloomy. No snow. Just a grey day.

I often thought it would be nice to go away for Xmas some year....somewhere nice & hot. Perhaps next year.

Today Lloyd is painting the bathroom and I'm doing laundry. Tonight I guess we'll be having left over turkey!!!

Happy Hot Holidays.

Being the Mother of the Family (Matriarch?), a lot of cooking was done, cleaning, wrapping of gifts and the last few days of being stressed too max, making sure everything is perfect ~ ~

Christmas eve day & eve nite was spent here at my home when my Son & 2 Grandsons came over and a Daughter who flew in from Dallas, TX where she lives. We ate a good ol' Mexican food lunch at one of our favorite places to eat, Rosie's Tamale House, picked up party trays of Subway party sandwiches & dozens of cookies. We all had a great day visiting before the Daughter needed to fly out to Virginia for her friend's family traditions.

Christmas Day was spent cooking & doing last minute finishing touches around the house. Family & Friends came over for Christmas Dinner of the traditional foods of Mr. Tom Turkey & All his friends, a ham a lots & lots of desserts, pies, cakes, brownies, cookies, along with a large pot of fresh brewed "Dunkin' Donuts" special coffee blend (a gift from my Son and his wife) etc.

The weather was great (toooo cold for us Texans. The sun was out, with the high in the mid 50's & the lows in the low 30's. Santa Claus was good to All of us and God Blessed us with love, health & happiness ~

HAVE A GREAT NEW YEAR IN 2010 ~ ~

I've seen many posts about people being concerned about exercise after having a device so thought I would let you know that yesterday I raced my first marathon since having my pacemaker fitted in fall 2004.
