Unusual Pain
I have been aching and having some shooting pain around my collarbone and shoulder (left side). My pacemaker is located on my right side. Has anyone gone thru this before. I don't know what is causing it or if I should be concerned. I thought at first that I might have arthritis, because I'm having lower back and leg pain also. Anyway, I would appreciate any insight into this. Thanks.

Compensating?

When in doubt, ask your dr. Are you holding yourself differently to compensate for your sore side? Sleeping differently can cause aches and pains also.

Hi.
Pain is our body's only way of telling us something is wrong.
When I had pain in the opposite shoulder of my pacemaker and collarbone pain, it ended up with my having Pericarditis!!!
When in doubt - have it checked out.
Take care,
Pookie

Since you are having pain in other areas as well it sounds like the pacemaker is secondary to it all. The 2 things that give me that sort of pain is a day of very active exercise, or incoming weather.
