Pacemaker recovery and dog

Hi I'm going to have a pacemaker put in and heart cath on Monday. What I'm wondering is will I be able to walk my dog when I come home Tuesday? She has to be leashed and pulls so I'm a little concerned and wonder if I need to get help for her. Also in general how long has it been until you were able to drive etc. Thanks for the help. I guess all of a sudden I'm nervous.

Driving

This is one of those things that vary from patient to patient and doctor to doctor. I was allowed to drive after my first check up which was one week post op.

Thank you

I want to thank you all for your wonderful help. My wonderful 20 pound schnauzer who can pull like a dog 3 times her size and I will work it out, I think I will get a neighbor to hold the leash while I walk with them so she doesn't pull me.

I really appreciate all the help and the humor too. I'm just getting nervous and this has all helped me calm a little bit.

Thank

Thanks

So you mean to tell me I probably shouldn't have loaned my car to my dog earlier this evening cabg patch..?

I would certainly suggest an an alternative pair of hands hold the lead on your walks.. On the schnauzer that is.. Unless you also have a collar and leash..? Simply to minimise the risk of having the PM arm pulled around too much early on..

As for the driving, I was permitted to drive 2 weeks following surgery, but it seems Everyone is given different guidelines. I guess it's important to know that you're covered to drive by your car insurance. A lot of companies here have specific clauses for post op driving periods..

You know you're wired when...

You forecast electrical storms better than the weather network.
