exercising in class with a PM

Hello members:
I had a pacemaker implanted about two months ago. I always went to a
body conditioning class for 45 minutes which included push ups, sit ups, bar bell weights and legwork. My MD says push ups are out , sit ups are o.k.
Does any one know of where and how I could show an exercise professional each of my movements to approve or disapprove of them because of the PM My MD is unwilling to be more specific than the above
advice. I have gone to the class recently but am reluctant to engage in a few
movement which might be harmful and the whole purpose of attending the class if negated. If any one has been in the same position and could enlighten
me it would be verey helpful. Answers appreciated. Thanks

Hi,I had my PM fitted last October and have gone back to the gym and Taekwon Do without any restrictions except for sparring, doing push ups will take a few weeks but all other exercises are fine to do,take it easy and you will soon settle in to a pattern of exercise that suits you, good luck.

You have to give these little suckers a few months to settle in but after 3 months my doc said I could do anything that didn't mean a direct blow to the unit although he did suggest things like trapeze and one arm giant swings on my left arm were things I would want to avoid. But I do everything else, even basketball which he isn't all that thrilled about because of flying elbows but so far so good. The pacer even survived me getting it by a car cycling when I landed on my head and handlebars and separated both shoulders.
