I have a question :)

Hello all,

I made some searches after my recent post regarding pull ups and push ups...and found lots of very useful posts, thanks to the posters :)
However, found very few (almost one) regarding whey protein powder...thing is i'm starting some exercising and was wondering if it is ok to take whey protein powder if i have a pacemaker..

Thanks,
Meag

Whey..

Whey is just a milk product. I can't see why it would cause any issues with an ICD or Pacer.

Now, unless you are going to weight lift pretty heavy (and go for building a good deal of additional muscle mass), you probably really don't need to go outside a regular diet to get enough calories.

I use whey twice a day when lifting, but then again I weight lift 1-1.5 hrs/day 5 days a week with pretty heavy weights. I also tend to burn a lot of calories (around 3500-4000), but not all people are the same.

First, small meals 5-6 times a day. Get your workout routine setup, then if you find that you arn't consuming enough calories, adjust your diet, which can include whey and other "weight gaining" products. Each person's demand for protein, carbs, fat is different. For examply, my body like a 40/40/20 (protein, carbs, fat by calories mix).
