Photo Album?

Hi Everyone and Blake - Wouldn't it be great if we could have a photo album on this website and everyone could submit a picture. I would love to be able to identify more closely with all my friends and pictures would sure help. Is this possible, Blake?

Back to reality.

Now that we all had a good laugh, how about going back to the initial post, and voting on whether a photo album should be added to the PM site, as suggested by Sharontmdkg? Lol Lol.
Will this ever end? My sides hurt!

It's possible ...

I originally planned to add a photo album to the new site, but ran out of money. It would cost about $500 for a professional albumn that operates from our member database. I plan to add it, but not in the near future.

My computer went crazy yesterday and I could not get in on the fun.Yes I think a photo album would be great if it it could be added when funds are available.
If us ladies all lived closer we could have a cake stall to raise funds!!
Have a fun day everyone and keep smiling!-Kay

Not A Good Idea!

by cottontop - 2007-07-29 10:07:02

I think that what makes this club for a lot of us is the fact that we can ask any question or just talk and no one knows anything really personal in my life. I'm sure we all have family. I have my parents,in-laws,3 adult children,grandchildren,son-in-law, 1 sister and 2 brothers, ect. With all these people why am I writing to others. They have all been there for me through all my heart problems. Running errands, staying with me while husband's at work, cooking, cleaning and whatever I need. But to be able to "talk" to people who are going through some of the same things that I am. Makes a world of difference. I am be me and always try to "feel" better than I do, because I don't see the worry in your eyes. Like I do my family and friends. I can poop my heart out when it's been a bad day and someone will comment and I know they get it! It doesn't matter what any of us looks like it is what God put in our hearts to help each other. We are the faceless family. Feel free to comment! Just my opinion. God bless you all,

Question of Money?

by pacergirl - 2007-07-29 10:07:41

Well if it is a question of money then why didn't you just say so?
Hey fellow pacers! Aren't we up for a few dollars to upgrade our site? I'm in for a few bucks. There are a lot of us out here that would like to see some pictures. Of course we would have to figure out a way to get it to Blake, but the details could be worked out. Let's see what everyone else thinks about contributing. Doesn't have to be a lot of money per pacer, but a few dollars or whatever, or none at all. Just a thought.... I don't mind paying my way.
What does everyone think? Pacergirl

great idea

by jessie - 2007-07-29 11:07:02

i don't know how many mebers we have but it sure would not take much to raise 500 bucks for sure. i am up for it. just say when and how much jessie lol

mistake in sentence

by cottontop - 2007-07-29 11:07:43

In Not A Good Idea! The sentence should have read-I can be me and not always trying to "feel" better". Oh No! I did not mean to type "poop" I meant to type "pour my heart out" So very sorry! RED FACED!

Mistakes

by SMITTY - 2007-07-29 12:07:18

Slips of the tounge, or should I say slips of the fingers, is one of the things that makes it fun to read the messges posted here.

"I can poop my heart out when it's been a bad day and someone will comment and I know they get it!" I read that and then went back and read it again and had the thought "Cottontop speaks it as she thinks it" and I thought it was funny.

So my thanks to Cottontop and Jessie for a much needed chuckle this morning.

Pros no cons.

by Stepford_Wife - 2007-07-29 12:07:22

Hi Cottontop.

I see no harm in sharing pictures. When you mention that you don't have to see the worry in our eyes, when you talk about how you feel on a particular day. Well, It would be a still picture, and more than likely, of a person smiling. That's what will be in your mind when you write or reply, or read an answer to one of your posts.
That alone, would be enough to make you feel better. I'm sure a lot of us have already shared pictures via e-mail, and it does help to have an idea of who you are talking to.
On another note. Your " poop " blunder had me in stitches!
I didn't need a picture to appreciate that one Lol ! Lol !
Please forgive my humor, I'm not laughing at you, but hopefully, with you. Life is too short to be stuffy.
Take care,

Where do we send it?

by auntiesamm - 2007-07-30 06:07:47

Little did I know when I posted the suggestion for a photo album there would be so much response! I am all for sending money to Blake for setting up the photo album if it is something he would like to do. I agree with all of you - if we all chip in it wouldn't take long to have $500.00. Blake has done a wonderful thing for all of us by creating this awesome, amazing (I get so tired of those 2 words*) and this is another way we can thank him. Can we hear from you, Blake? God bless you all!
