I am approaching a year with my PM and feel better than I have felt in years!
My question is whether I can donate blood with a PM? I was a donor before and loved doing it and would love to be able to but have been getting conflicting information from people. Anyw help would be appreciated.

Blood Domor?

Phil,
You will have to get a final answer from the blood center as they have the criterion blood donor must meets. My guess is the pacemaker will not make a difference but some medication you are now taking could rule you out as a donor. Once when I was taking a blood thinner and a beta blocker I was turned down. They dont want me now because of age (70+) and a few other factors.

PM and blood donor

I had the same experience. I am a regular donor and the heart medications - a thinner and beta blocker ruled me out of the program.
