Tomorrow is the day!

Well, tomorrow I go in for gallbladder surgery at 10a. Surgery is at 12.20p. I just want to thank all of you who have chimed in to my previous post and helped to put me at ease. I'll give you an update when I get home and am feeling up to it. I can't wait to eat anything without feeling bad! I'm more nervous for my pm than for the surgery itself. The anaesthesiologist will watch my pm, but it will be "turned off" via the magnent so he has control over my heart during the surgery. I just want to make sure the rep resets the pm correctly in recovery so that I don't have any of my pre-pm symptoms come back! That would be terrible! I'm taking my last settings with me just in case!

And if you think about it and would send up a little prayer to the Big Guy on my behalf, I would most appreciate it.

Good luck! I am sure you will do well! My mother had emergency gall bladder surgery when she was 87 and she breezed through it! So, I have confidence you will do just fine!

Here is hoping you can eat lots of yummy things you enjoy soon! Have a speedy recovery!

Dearest Ela-girl - I'll think of you constantly and certainly you may depend upon my prayers for your complete and speedy recovery to good health. My son's partner's recently had the same operation and is fighting-fit once again and enjoying her food. Of course, she didn't have the complication of the PM, but these days doctors must surely do these routine operations on many people with PM or ICDs and will know the drill. Be safe and well. I'm off to the hospital now and will let you know how it went. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers! I know it's a bit of a minor surgery, but I'm still nervous. Then again, we all know about "minor surgeries" around here!
