Outside communications on your pacemaker is turned off. They turn on communications by lying the the donut shaped magnet on top of the pacemaker. So no communications going on with anything external except when doing a reading at your checkup.

Newer pacemakers have communications with the bedside units but then the frequency used for those devices is different from sat nav units.

Finally, the power used for sat nav units isn't anywhere near enough to bother a pacemaker.

Finally, finally, I would have to concede that if you went to a transmitter location where they were doing sat nav communication it might bother your pacemaker. But then you'd be in a location where direct transmission was taking place. I don't recommend that anyone be close to direct communication devices pacemaker or not. Even then, I'm not sure how strong the signals are, so even then they may not be strong enough to bother a pacemaker.

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
