Endocarditis all clear

Hi all,

I posted a while ago saying I'd been in hospital for two months getting treatment for endocarditis after my pacemaker lead became infected. Just yesterday I got a call from my doctor saying the bloods tests and echo are all clear. This is good news because if the infection is gone I won't need open heart surgery to remove a tiny bit of embedded lead that was left when they removed the infected lead.
I had a holter monitor as well which showed my bradycardia and heart block are back. While in hospital my heart rate was too fast and there was no sign of the heart block. So now it's back. I can feel it too as I'm really tired all the time. I can't believe that I used to be like this all the time before I got my pacemaker. It's also strange knowing that when I feel dizzy it means my heart is missing beats. My doctor is going to reinsert the pacemaker very soon and even though it will hurt I'm looking forward to it as it will mean I can get back to normal.

You have been through a lot but it sounds like you have kept an amazingly great attitude. I'll pray you continue to improve daily and have the PM back in soon. Take care of yourself as you recover!
