I've used a Fitbit Charge HR and a Fitbit Surge with my pacemaker for a couple years without any problems.

I have used a Fitbit HR with no ill effects as well. I think it is only the heart monitors that use chest straps that are problematic.

I use a Fit bit HR.  My EP doctor does too! He is fine with the use of these devices.

Fitbit Alta

by Cheryl B - 2016-12-26 13:22:49

Hi All:

Just got a Fitbit Alta yesterday for Christmas.  I was happy to learn that Fitbits don't interfere with our devices.  I have a St. Jude ICD.  But what about the Fitbit Alta?  It's the newest one, I guess.  I'm really wanting to turn it in and buy clothes with the money, but my husband thinks I'm interested in seeing how many steps I take a day.  I can't tell him without wasting money on a Fitbit.  I take a lot of steps!!  If anybody has any info, I would appreciate it:)  If not, I'll just bring it back and buy some clothes.

Thanks, cheryl b.

You know you're wired when...

Your ICD has a better memory than you.
