Ivabradine/Corlanor

Hi! I'm 100% paced (complete heart block) with 3 lead Medtronic. I've just been put on Corlanor/Ivabradine. Has anyone else taken this? It's just my 2nd day. The side effects aren't wonderful but it's doing its job. My RHR is in the low 70s as opposed to the hundreds my BP is 112/89 instead of 150/90 . Will the chest pain and loopy headed/dizziness subside? Last night I broke out in hives after the first pill but not this morning. A nurse suggested it was from increased blood flow to smaller vessels and not to worry (side effect is common) but the pressure is painful and I can't drive or do much with the foggy/dizziness. Any experience with this or advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Maybe give it time for your body to adjust?

am not familiar with those drugs but the other option would be to call whomever you were dealing with.....did they not give you information??

At least your vitals are normal, I would expect the dizziness to fade but day 2 may be a bit early.

I was very dizzy until I got my third lead added/CRT but it was gone by the sixth day.

Corlanor

Hi There!  I was put on Corlanor back in Summer 16 and now have a pacemaker due to the medication.  I went from having IST and running to fast, they put me on Corlanor 5mg 2x daily for 6 months and then one day I was taken off of it to find it had damaged the IF channel (funny channel in my heart)  and lead to me running in the 20's and 30s... My suggestion is please monitor your symptoms and talk to your doctor - if you don't feel right, tell your doctor! Corlanor hasn't been in the US very long, so please be careful.  My doctor at Temple is now doing a case study because of my reaction to the medicine.  Be safe!
