revision of left ventricle lead-3rd time

Due to my anatomy (few and very small tributaries) , it is hard to get a good placement for my left ventricle lead. I have had a pacemaker pocket infection 1 year ago, finally the "hole" of where the infection was has been covered via plastic surgery 7 months ago. My left lead dislodged 2 weeks post surgery last time. I usually work full time and was back to work 3 weeks post. This will be the 3rd time I have had this complication. My doctor usually places a 3 week off work ( I work with high behavioral individuals/compliance officer position), my doctor is suggesting more time off this next time so that I am being extra careful etc... what is the average of everyone else being off in this similar situation? This past year has been very difficult as the I am pacemaker dependent and continue with dysynchony daily.

The latest left heart option

Leading university hospitals and leading hospitals like Mayo have a better option. Before you needed a pacemaker, your heart was "paced" naturally via the His bundle, coming out of the AV node. Today, many doctors are pacing the heart at the His bundle for natural, physiological ventricular activation of the ventricles. Scientific publications on His bundle pacing suggest that patients whom have been paced into heart failure have been saved, and their hearts have healed itself after a few months of paced, natural ventricular activation. There are 90 publications related to His bundle pacing at the website His-pacing.org.

Hope this helps, Terry
