Just had a CRT-D put in on 1/16/17. Very active before and did exercise class three times a week. Now, I have trouble walking the dog. The pain is still there and I've got thumping in my diaphram from the leads hitting some nerve. They keep trying to adjust.
Wondering when the pain goes away, When the brusing goes away and if they can adjust the wires with the nerve.
Still trying to figure it out.

Grateful Heat, thank you for the kind words. Yes, patience is needed. Sounds like you are an empathetic heart also.

Hi Sandra
Grateful Heart is right. Things will settle down and you will find yourself forgetting its even there. I used to teach windsurfing, go canoeing, owt to do with water......and I still do and go down the Gym 3 times a week and I was the biggest wus ever when I had mine fitted.
Most of its twinges and niggles is it just settling in and the scar healing.
You know you're wired when...

As for my pacemaker (almost 7 years old) I like to think of it in the terms of the old Timex commercial - takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Give it some time. The pain and bruising will ease up.
Diaphragmatic pacing.....An x-ray will tell the doctor if your lead is still in place. Sometimes an adjustment will work...they'll give it a few tries.
Sometimes a lead revision is necessary if the lead is out of place. Take it a step at a time.
