This is my first post in the forum. Have several questions. Will only deal with one per post to keep it simple. I am 3 months in with a Medtronic 2 lead PM.
Have had sinus bradycardia (heart rate 54-56) for 30 or more years. Has not been a serious problem until now.
The PM is set at 60. For the first two weeks after insertion therestoing pulse rate was alway 60 - 62. After that resting rate is always in the upper 80's. Does not make sense to me.
Has anyone else experienced this?

HEart rate changes after PM fitted

Simliar to you but lower numbers. I had a resting heart rate of around 40 bpm for a long time, but was really active and keep fit. Due to a couple of fainting spells I had to have a PM fitted. For the first three months the pM licked in for about 25% of the time as was set at 50 and still is. However, slowly the PM icks in less and less and now is negligable. I guess is is the body readjusting to having the PM but also not sure why my Heart rate does not normally go below 55 bpm

ALRAY Welcome to the club . Sorry to reply to your question with further questions but :-
- Why did you have a PM fitted for a heart-rate of 54 - 56 if it hadn't been a problem ?
- How are you measuring your heart-rate now ? Could you be getting false readings ?
- Have you mentioned it to your Dr to find out if your heart condition has changed in any way ?
- Most important question.. how do you feel with a higher resting heart-rate ? Do you feel any different ?
I'm sure people will help if you give a little more info
