Has anyone ever experienced losing weight after having your pacemaker implanted? I'm 23 and have two kids under 5. Before the surgery, I weighed anywhere from 130-140. Even before my two kids I wore a size 9 in jeans and now 4 months after pacemaker they are falling off of me. I'm a little more active now than I was before PM but not much more. My diet and everything is still the same. And ((NO IM NOT COMPLAINING)). :)

Could it be from medication? Maybe you are just making better food choices and not as aware of it, the difference between a REAL home cooked meal and fast food is a lot more substantial then a lot of people think. If you really really don't believe it's dietary or activity changes it could be water retention.
I lost a lot of weight, getting a PM is good motivation that's for sure.

I lost almost 10 pounds in the months following surgery, but, looking back, I think I began excercising more, and I also tend to lose weight in summer (which is when my surgery was).

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.

I lost weight after my pacemaker. I'm pretty sure it was because I was exercising more and more vigorously, ( I had turned into a total couch potato) and also because I was no longer eating sweets to give myself a boost of energy.
Buy yourself some new jeans and enjoy!
