Thyroid disorder and heart problems

Good evening!

Something I wanted to bring up was when I was in my early 20's, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My doctor has repeatedly insisted over the years that if my levels were maintained with meds over the years, that my health would remain great through the years.  In just a short year after I was experiencing arrhythmia and was told I had a type 1 block. Here we are a little over 10 years later and I'm a Mobitz II. The thyroid can really take a toll on your body and do some crazy damage. Luckily, I'm healthy other then this. This definitely isn't genetic in my family like they seem to keep suggesting. Anyone else have thyroid problems in here?

Hyperthyroidism

In 2015, I was suffering from many syncope episodes, headaches, fatigue, tachycardia, and many other things. After 2 months of tests and hospital stays, I was finally diagnosed with Graves disease and hyperthyroidism. The only resolve for me was getting a complete thyroidectomy. Now I take synthroid to be my fake thyroid. You are right, it is amazing how much one small gland can impact your Life! I underwent an appendectomy in 2016 and got a pacemaker 2 weeks ago. I was told they could've been because I went undiagnosed with my graves disease for so long, as the longer your thyroid goes untreated, the more damage it can do. It has all been a challenge, and I still have flare ups, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

You know you're wired when...

You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
