Twitching?

by Riley - 2017-04-17 18:52:00

Hi,

I had this problem too. It was almost like a twitching and it was paired with occasional stinging. I don't know if this is anything like what you are experiencing, but for me this was a sign that one of my leads had pulled out of my heart. It was completely dislodged. Originally though, the doctors didn't know why it was happening so that just ran tests to double check. I would encourage you to do the same.

Best of luck!

Flutter/palp.

i found that I was having what I described as flutters and/palpitations directly after receiving my pm. I kept track of these events and found that there was a pattern and it always lasted the same amount of time. They figured out that it was a setting on my pm that made my top chamber pace every 21 hours whether my heart needed it or not. Turns out that I  am one of those people that is sensitive to that pacing, it was not painful but disruptive to whatever activity I was involved with at the time. Point is, check with your doctor AND device specialist/nurse about settings.

Muscular twitching

I have previously commented on this problem- the return setting of your PM should be bipolar. If set to unipolar, there can be associated muscular twitching.

Once my setting was changed, what I thought was due to anxiety twitching, stopped there and then.

thanks everyone for your input.  Will ask EP on the bipolar/unipolar setting on next visit.
