Pain level with replacements is only a fraction of what it is on the first implant. You could travel same day if you wanted to. You might want to wait a few days because josteling won't feel good, but you could if you needed to. I did a 6 hour road trip down A1A to Key West three days after one of my replacements in my husband's tight suspension sports car. I was pretty sore when we got there after hours of road vibration, but nothing advil couldn't fix. Other than staying out of the water, we had a nice vacation. I flew by myself a week after another replacement, was fine. The only thing I needed help with was getting my bag in the overhead.

I'm 44, active and have had my device for two years. I love it as I can run again and enjoy working out without feeling like I'm an old man.
