Recovery time

Hi everyone!  54 yo female, first PM put in in 2007.  Last week I got my 2nd PM put in.  This time I had a broken lead that needed to come out, and they replaced the generator as well I am a little concerned as it is one week tomorrow and still very sore and tired. Has this happened to anyone else and is the recovery time longer than getting only the generator changed? Thank you all so much in advance for any light you can shed on me!

It's much shorter if it's just a generator change, but more like the first time if we get a new lead. I've never had an extraction but would imagine recovery is a little longer. They left my old one in and capped it off.

geez TraceyE same number of pacers, dual lead.  I also had one break during replacement and they capped it off instead of removed it.

For the most part the scar and swelling in the pocket dominate the recovery time, not sleeping well because you cant get comfortable or dont want to sleep on that side, etc.  That by itself can wear on you for a while not getting a good nights sleep.

New leads need to settle in, I also dont know what a removal does to you, I wouldnt expect much, the new lead, which has not settled in yet, might need some settings tweaked and jus the general getting your shoulder beat up and dealing with the discomfort and side effects from that.

2007 to 2017, 10 years not a bad run on that last one...Maybe one of mine went that long the others not...

As I write this you should be on week three or so, maybe have or will see the doc soon, if still feeling tired, tell them and maybe they can adjust some settings short term, they may still need to tweak some more with a new lead.
