Murmur?

Yesterday the 16th, was the one year Anniversary of me being the recipient of a dual chamber pacemaker.   I have total heartblock and had emergency surgery.  Felt pretty fine all this time, but on May  12th  during a visit to my Primary Care Dr. he discovered I have a murmur.  He ordered an echo to investigate.  I never had a murmur before.  I saw the Cardiologist on March 9th.  No problems.  Echo is the 23rd.  Any thoughts?  Thank you.

murmurs

Much of the population has small murmurs but they don't have symptoms and aren't monitored as closely as we are so they never know. Murmurs can come and go. I've had several over the years but none last several echos. It's possible he heard the valve that the pacer leads go through, it's not truly a murmur and usually doesn't cause problems. If you aren't symptomatic, it's probably nothing to worry about but an echo is the appropriate next step to figure out just what he heard. Good luck!

Thank you Tracey!!
