Misplaced Lead

Now about 5 weeks out from PM implantation. Shortly after the PM was put in I noticed a lot of unusual rhythm issues. I asked my EP at the Mayo Clinic to PLEASE get me an event monitor so she could see what was going on. I was having runs of Afib and other odd beats coming out of the right atrium (where the lead is currently at on the right side) . My pacemaker was basically shut off for the past couple of weeks once my doctor could see what was going on. I am now going to have to go in to have the lead moved to the other side of my right atrium. Frustrating to say the least and hoping this move of the lead is not real complicated and that is resolves the heart block and other issues without the problems where the lead is now. Back in December I had an ablation to take care of atrial flutter which has not been a problem since the ablation but then Afib came on they are thinking due to where the lead currently is placed . Can anyone relate?  Thanks

Sorry, I can't relate because I'm still implant free.  The doctors tell us that complication rates are low, but apparently they happen often enough for them to know how to fix them when they do occur.  (I guess this is both bad and good.). Hope they get you straightened out and back on the road without additional detours!

Today I explained everything to my doctor, he set my lower rate back to 80 and I felt an immediate improvement.
