Hello, I always come to you all with my pacing questions. I have a 3 lead pacemaker and a-fib. I've been in a fib daily and betapace has'nt helped me get back to normal. My EP suggested cardioversion, but I'm worried about what it will do to the pacemaker. I had an ablasion 18 months ago but was normal for about a year. Your input will be appreciated.

In life we have to consider what is more important, the loss of the vanity or the gain of the life.
What is your concern?

A 3-lead pacer is what is used for cardioversion. So all it would be is a programming change? What are you worried about, that the pacer won't last as long because you will be 100% paced?
My heart, luckily, has returned to 'normal' output with cardioversion. I am a lot better off.
