Settings

They had to change my settings.  We are the same age and they had mine set too low.  Give it a little while but if you don't feel better soon tell your EP and PM tech.  When they changed my settings it made a huge difference.  Before that, I felt like a wet dishrag.

Good luck!

wow, great news

Wow, great news. Just give it time and energy will return...um it's been nearly 11 years for me and I'm 100% paced, Disney wanted me to star in Pete's Dragon, since I'm dragon...how much time do we need to give it?

It's nice to share a positive message, but don't oversell, everything's not roses, and not everbody is going to see improvement.

it depends

It depends in part on what your condition is.  I just got pacer number 5 and have to wait several months to see a change in my latest condition.  But hopefully depending on your situation yours should be quicker.  It can take months to the first year to dial you in, if an adjustment makes things works or for any reason just call the doc, dont wait for the next appt.  They may want to put a 24 hour holter on after each adjustment, go with the flow, that is how they know what the adjustment did, the things you cannot see and may or may not feel.  You are now 7 days post op I am guessing some of this is going to be mental stress, some is going to be not being comfortable and bad sleep as a result which masks the good feeling you should get from a smoother heart.   give it a few weeks to recover from the surgery, get used to the device, and get back to normal sleep

You know you're wired when...

You have a new body part.

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
