When can I wear a regular bra?

I'm 7 weeks out and been wearing sports bras. Last night I went a wedding and had to wear a regular bra. By the end of the night I was in pain, not sore, pain. When will it not hurt anymore? When I "forget" it's there?

We are all built differently and heal at different rates. Mine is subpectoral so it was a good 3 months before I could bend/twist/lift without feeling it at all, have a busy day in a regular bra and not be sore. Ice it.

Maybe get fitted for a bra? Professional fitters are great.

You might not think it from the replies you are getting, but trouble with bras is not an uncommon problem.

Happily, once the stitches were removed, I had no bra discomfort from the pacemaker, but I remember well how demoralizing it was not to be able to wear a good bra for a while after I broke my wrist. It's hard to feel good when you don't think you look good.

Look in the archives. Other women have dealt with this issue. I can't recall details or brand names, but I think they agreed that the key was finding a bra with very widely spaced straps.

It depends on individual, i had my icd implant on the 4th of this month. I have being wearing my fitted maternity bra since day 4 after the surgery.

I rang the cardio nurse up to find out if i can still use my wired bra,  she said yes.

But i was abit uncomfortable with it, abit thight due to my baby weight gain.

A pacemaker suddenly quitting is no more likely to happen than you are to be struck by lightening.
